24 hours in Singapore: Drink
31 August 2016
Stopping over in Singapore? If you’re looking to take a break in between those must-visit restaurants in Singapore stops, we put together a mixed bag for self-proclaimed members of the tippling club.
Wine and design
DIVINE in Parview Square is a must visit for wine and design connoisseurs. The opulent bar is decked out in stone, brass and wood in Art Deco fashion with wall to ceiling embellishments and paintings. The focal point of DIVINE is it’s 12m Wine Tower where Wine Angels “fly up” to retrieve your order from a select list.
The Singapore Sling
No trip to Singapore is complete without a visit to Long Bar in Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling. The bar retains the luxury colonial feel of woven rattan chairs and dark mahogany and even throws back to all you can eat peanuts whilst tossing shells on the floor. Try the classic Singapore Sling as it was invented or other seasonal slings.
Skyline and dance
Take in the view with rooftop bars overlooking Singapore skylines at Lantern in the Fullerton Bay Hotel or kick it up a notch for bars that turn into a dance floor at CÉ LA VI in the iconic Marina Bay Sands or 1 Altitude in 1 Raffles Place.
