Latest fashion brands with Android Wear 2.0 watches
04 April 2017
Continuing the trend of fashion brands stepping up to fill the gap in the wearable market, Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger are the latest fashion companies to announce their very own Android Wear 2.0 watches at Baselworld 2017.
Hugo Boss Android Wear smartwatch is made from carbon black IP stainless steel that also features interchangeable straps with a leather band option. ‘The Touch’ as they call it, will offer NFC and have support for Android Pay but will not feature any heart rate sensor, which would probably be fine because it doesn’t look like a watch that one would wear for a run or workout. Set to be released in August this year, The Touch will retail at USD $395.
Meanwhile, the Tommy Hilfiger TH24/7You that will also run on Android 2.0 won’t have NFC support or a heart rate sensor. In line with the brand’s more casual style, the watch is designed with metal link bracelet with the brand’s signature colours as the main attraction. The TH24/7You is much cheaper compared to The Touch, retailing at USD $299.
More details on the two watches have yet to be announced.
